All of Burke County Public Schools are School wide Title I Schools.  The Elementary And Secondary Education Act (ESEA) of 1965 requires that parents or guardians who have children attending a Title I school be notified of how well their school is preparing the students for college and/or a career, as well as the school’s designation status under Georgia’s ESEA Flexibility Wavier.

Under Georgia’s ESEA Flexibility Waiver, certain Title I schools are designated as Reward, Priority, Focus, or Alert schools. The Wavier also allows the use of the College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI), which serves as a comprehensive report card for all schools in Georgia.  The CCRPI provides a score between 0-100 for each school, and that score measures how well the school is doing in preparing its students to be successful in college and/or a career.

None of Burke County Public schools have been given a school designation status at this time, and parents will be receiving school specific information regarding CCPRI scores at a later date.
