Teacher Services

The School Social Worker/Attendance Officer Provides  

Services to Administrators, Teachers, and

Support Personnel   

· Help the schools in creating a positive climate to promote consistent  

  attendance;

· Investigation of the reason(s) for attendance problems and tardiness;

· An emergency contact person to schools;

· Residency verification;

· Membership on Student Support Teams, when needed, to help

  provide solultions to students' educational needs;

· Aid solicited from agencies and resources in the community to meet the

  social needs of children and their families;

· Group work services to students and parents with common concern/

  problems and interests as they relate to the childs's functioning in school;

· Liaison between the school and home.
