Adrift: 76 Days Lost At Sea – This is a non-fiction memoir written by Steven Callahan. The book chronicles Callahan’s adventure after sinking his sailboat in the Atlantic Ocean during a race from the Canary Islands to the Caribbean. Callahan spent seventy-six days drifting in an inflatable raft until he was rescued near the Bahamas. During his ordeal, he fought off sharks, survived on a small amount of fish, birds, and seaweed that he could catch, drank only the water he distilled himself, and constantly repaired his slowly sinking raft.
The Black Echo – This is the first book in the Harry Bosch detective series by Michael Connelly. It is a work of fiction. Harry Bosch is a maverick LAPD homicide detective. He served as a tunnel rat in the Vietnam War. In this novel, after finding a former friend with whom he served in Vietnam, Bosch becomes interested in bank robbery case that involves subterranean tunnels.
