To Burke County Alternative School Students and Parents:

This handbook has been prepared for you through the efforts

of the Burke County Board of Education (BCBOE) and the

Burke County Alternative School (BCAS).  It is hoped that

the materials contained herein will serve as a source of helpful

information and as a guide to understanding the policies and

procedures of BCAS and the BCBOE. 

The BCAS Student/Parent Handbook does not contain all information

pertaining to students or parents/guardians, but it does contain certain

items that will affect most students and parents/guardians.  It is

important for each student/parent/guardian to become familiar with

the contents of this handbook.
