Title I School Status Information

All of Burke County Public Schools are School-Wide Title I Schools. The Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 requires parents and/or guardians to be notified of how well the district’s schools are preparing students for college and/or career, as well as each school’s designation status under Georgia’s ESEA Flexibility Wavier.

Under Georgia’s ESEA Flexibility Wavier, certain Title I Schools are designated as Reward, Priority, Focus or Alert schools. The waiver allows the use of the College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI), which serves as a comprehensive report card for all schools in Georgia. The CCRPI provided a score for each school between 0-100 for each school, and the score measures or represents how well the school is doing in preparing students for be success in college and/ or a career.

Burke County Middle School is the only school in the district with a designation status and it has been recognized as a High Progress Reward School. The other schools in the district do not have a designation status at this time. We do not have any schools in the district that are labeled as Priority, Focus or Alert Schools.
