BCHS Graduation Information

• Graduates and their escort must arrive and be in processional line by 9:15 a.m.

• Graduation begins promptly at 10 a.m., prior to which all guests with tickets must
be seated. The main auditorium doors will be closed and remain closed until a
designated time when they will be opened for guests.

• Only ticket-holders may view graduation in the auditorium as all seats are reserved. No children under the age of six (6) may enter the auditorium. Everyone six (6) and older who enters the auditorium must have a ticket.

• Overflow viewing (via live streaming) will be provided in specified classrooms (no ticket required). Those who cannot attend, can view the live event by clicking on the graduation icon on Burke County High Schools homepage or the district website.
• Parking will be available on all campus parking lots including Burke County
Middle, Waynesboro Primary and Blakeney Elementary schools.
Shuttle service will be provided to and from all school parking lot sites. The transportation department staff will be onsite directing parking. After the patrons and visitors park, they will be able to board any shuttle bus, which will transport them to the loading dock (auditorium entrance).
Shuttle services will begin at 8:30 AM - until.
From 9:30 AM -10 AM, shuttle buses will drop patrons and visitors off at the front entrance of the high school to enter the building. This will be done to prevent buses and visitors from interfering with students and parents preparing to enter the auditorium, from the loading dock, for the Graduation service.
Please note all visitors must enter the school campus from the Burke Veteran's Parkway entrance by the Recreation Department or from Southside Drive (traffic signal by library entrance.) For safety, the front gates will be closed to prevent people from parking on the bypass. Any vehicles parked on the bypass will be ticketed and towed at the owners expense.
After graduation, the front gates and all other entry points will be OPEN for exiting the campus.
Shuttle buses will pick up and drop off every 5 minutes to and from the Graduation service, as needed.
The front circle will be closed for parking, except for BOE members, Superintendent, and Principals.

• No Nursery services will be provided. All children under the age of six (6) must be accompanied by an adult and must report to a designated viewing classroom.

• A DVD of graduation will be available for $20. The BCHS Technology Student Association
will produce the DVD and take orders at graduation.
