Gravel cycling enthusiasts will be coming from as far away as Nebraska and Iowa to compete along the gravel and dirt roads in Burke County. The Chamber is looking forward to welcoming approximately 300 participants who will travel here for the BIRD DOG 100 which is being hosted by Cycling Quests. The first annual event is scheduled for Saturday, November 6th and guests will be here for the majority of the weekend. We will be encouraging the out-of-town guests to shop and dine in our local establishments and will be offering chamber members the opportunity to provide coupons to help lure the potential customers to your place of business. We will also be looking for volunteers for registration/welcome tables, as well as working the rest stops during the ride on Saturday. Please contact the Burke Co. Chamber if you are interested!
