Amy Jenkins-Nunnally
Public Information Officer

The public relations office is responsible for maintaining effective communications with all stakeholders. Advocates for and supports the vision, mission, goals, objectives, and beliefs of the Burke County Public School System. Provides support to all schools and departments in an effort to ensure that the lines of communication from the schools and system to the community are open and effective.

My passion for communication has fueled my career in education for the past 25 years. It all began at Waynesboro Primary School, where I started as an Administrative Assistant. My love for technology led me to become the school's Technology Support Technician after earning my CompTIA A+ Certification. In 2007, I leveraged my communication skills to become the BCPS Public Information Officer. This journey continued beyond Burke County Schools as I served as Vice President of Communications for the Georgia School Public Relations Association (GSPRA) from 2018-2021. I'm also an active Cabinet member for the United Way of the CSRA, demonstrating my commitment to giving back to the community. From anchoring Burke County High School's morning announcements to my current role, I've consistently enjoyed keeping our school communities informed!
