Welcome to the Office of Teaching, Learning, and Supports

At Burke County Public Schools, we believe that every student deserves a high-quality education that challenges, supports, and inspires. The Office of Teaching, Learning, and Supports exists to ensure that vision becomes a reality across every classroom and school in our district.

Our work centers on creating the conditions where both students and educators can thrive. Through curriculum and instruction, professional learning, student and family supports, and the strategic use of data, we provide the guidance, resources, and partnerships that drive continuous improvement.

What We Do

The Office of Teaching, Learning, and Supports leads and oversees:

  • Curriculum and Instruction (K–12) – ensuring clear, rigorous, and aligned learning experiences.
  • Professional Learning and Development – empowering educators with the tools and strategies to succeed.
  • Assessment and Instructional Technology – advancing excellence through effective use of assessments and innovative technology.
  • Family, School, and Community Supports – addressing the academic, social, and emotional needs of every child.
  • Federal Programs & Resources – ensuring equitable opportunities for all students.
  • Data-Informed Decision-Making – using evidence to guide improvement and impact.
