Parent Engagement

Parent Engagement is an ongoing process that is designed to increase active participation, communication, and collaboration between parents, schools, and communities with the goal of educating the whole child to ensure student achievement and success.  The Burke County Board of Education believes that parents, schools, families, and communities working together can create meaningful partnerships that ultimately lead to significant gains across the board in student achievement.

The goal of BCPS is to increase student achievement by engaging and empowering parents to become actively involved in their children’s education across all grade levels.

BCPS has a district parent advisory board.  Please contact the federal programs director at 706-554-8052 if you would like to serve as part of this district board.
