The District's Official Mass Notification System

The BC App and Blackboard mass notification system are useful to BCPS families and our faculty/staff because of their ability to deliver district-level and school-specific notifications, calendars, lunch menus, grades, attendance, sports scores, transportation information, social media news feeds, and more!

The school system and schools use your student's information in Power School to send emails, phone calls, text messages, and emergency notifications to families.

With the BC App, all information is brought together and delivered to one platform. Efficiency depends greatly on parents/guardians providing us with correct phone numbers and email addresses.

Don't Miss Another Important Message:

855-977-0602 is the phone number for the Burke County Public School Mass Notification System.

Unfortunately, some phones may send this number into a spam folder which leaves you to miss out on all of the news and updates sent by your school and district.

To prevent this from happening…..

Simply save 855-977-0602 to your cell phone Contacts and you will receive all of the informational updates we send out!

SMS messages come from short code 60680 for non-emergency messages, and 54968 or 60680 for emergency messages. This is to ensure timely delivery based on code traffic.

Inform your school of the short-code numbers so they don’t inadvertently block or unsubscribe from future school messages.

* If you haven't received any notifications, you may have to update your contact information. You can ensure we have the correct contact information by checking with your school office staff, parent coordinator, student information specialist, or public information office.

Information cannot be updated in Blackboard. Blackboard pulls contact data directly from PowerSchool.
