The Migrant Education Program (MEP) is a federally funded program designed to support comprehensive educational programs for migrant children to help reduce the educational disruption and other problems that result from repeated moves.

Services for migrant students are established as follows:

  • Parents/guardians complete the enrollment paperwork at the school
  • The school forwards any forms indicating migrant status to the migrant coordinator.
  • The migrant coordinator forwards the paperwork to our migrant consortium who determines eligibility for services
  • Parent/Guardian is informed that eligibility is established
  • Services begin

Feel free to reach out to Migrant coordinator, at 706-554-5101 if you have questions or concerns.
